PoshVine, a Fin-tech which is trying to help banks in India provide a better user experience by building products for them, wanted me to design their rewards platform , a suite of customisable rewards where customer gets freedom to redeem points at various places and brands. This is a UX case study of designing the for the fitness & wellness category within reward-hub.

  • Client: PoshVine
  • Project duration: May 2018
  • Roles I assumed: UX Designer, Visual Designer

Project brief

PoshVine wanted the functionality to be similar to their client fitternity ( as they had API integration with them). This meant that I had to take what was there and fine tune it so it’s cleaner and easier to use also making few changes in the flow as per new requirements. They were looking to pivot the look and feel to be more refined and as per PoshVine’s brand guidelines than to what fitternity has.

Prototype

Homepage

Out of all the features and functionalities that fitternity had we would be using only using two features on our platform

  • Onepass virtual ( We would want our users to buy these the most, thus we have made     it our primary CTA)
  • Livestream sessions (Pay per session)

Fitternity has a lot many features and so it does not show all the options open right on the homepage. But we have only two main features and so I decided to put the one pass details right on the homepage for better accessibility

  • The onepass page showed alot of repeated text. I cut it short in our homepage for better usability.
  • The Onepass has three categories of passes, fitternity design does not differentiate them well. The three subscriptions differ in price and in services they provide so I have put the price on the top with the buy button so it helps the user to make the decision fast.
  • The services are listed below and have been well differentiated using blue colour (which shows what are the extra services) and green colour shows shows the services which are common

The subscription could be of either 1months or 3months, the way it is shown on the subscription cards leads to too much information at one place and increases cognitive load on users. I have created a switcher on to top to make it simpler.

Once the user buys the subscription they can start making the bookings (one booking in one day), the status in this journey could be

  • subscription Purchased
  • Start booking (We show the validity of the subscription and start booking button)
  • Booking made (session time & name)
  • Subscription ends

Listing Page

  • The filters are scattered on top and left while they can be easily managed to be at one place.
  • So, I decided to put all the filters on the top which increases accessibility, provides enough space to the listing cards which are the most important section of the page, more space provides more focus to this section.
  • The hierarchy of elements on the card do not come out the right way. for example both the amount and session time has been highlighted with same colour.
  • If the user does not choose a filter they wont know what category any activity belongs to, to clear this confusion I decided to add a category tag on the top of the activity name.

The UI in terms of spacing, contrast and font size/weight was not aesthetically pleasing, thus I had changed it to make the design look great!
